The following would be beneficial -
• Degree level or equivalent academic qualification in Ecology or related field.
• Some knowledge of survey techniques, relevant wildlife legislation .
• Engaged, adaptable, enthusiastic and willing to learn.
• A level of competency in Microsoft Office software .
• Some knowledge of GIS packages.
• A full, clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
The role -
• Providing support in the office and field on a wide range of projects.
• Assisting with planning ecological surveys.
• Assisting and leading on protected species surveys.
• Undertaking data interpretation, including bat call analysis.
• Digital data entry and GIS mapping.
• Undertaking local record centre data requests and reporting on data searches.
• Assisting with report preparation in support of planning applications.
